Questions we are often asked
A considered move raises considered questions. Here are the ones we hear most, answered plainly. If yours is not among them, we would be glad to answer it in confidence.
How does a move with Belgravia Removals begin?
With a private consultation. A move director visits the residence — or arranges a confidential video walkthrough — to understand the property, the collection and your requirements. From that we prepare a considered written proposal, so nothing is left to assumption.
Are your crews discreet and vetted?
Yes. Our crews are directly employed, uniformed and security-aware, and we treat every household as confidential. For diplomatic and high-profile residences we can arrange additional vetting and non-disclosure undertakings as a matter of course.
Can you handle fine art, antiques and collections?
It is a large part of what we do. Paintings, sculpture, antiques, clocks, wine and instruments are assessed at survey, crated to museum standards, and moved under climate-aware transport with condition reporting at each stage.
How do you manage access on a Belgravia square or mews?
Prime central London brings its own choreography — cobbled mews, garden-square estate rules, permit parking and stucco frontages that must not be marked. We plan access with the estate and the council in advance, so the day itself is calm and unhurried.
Which international destinations do you move to?
Our established routes run from Belgravia to France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Portugal, and we move throughout Europe beyond those. Second-home and pied-à-terre moves — coordinating a London base with a residence abroad — are a speciality.
How long will an international move take?
That depends on the route, the customs formalities and how the consignment is scheduled. Rather than offer a figure we cannot guarantee, your written proposal sets out an estimated window for your move, and your director keeps you informed throughout.
Can you store items between residences?
Yes. We hold goods in secure, monitored, climate-controlled storage for as long as required — between a sale and a completion, or while a home abroad is prepared. Everything is inventoried, and fine pieces are stored to the appropriate standard.
Is our privacy protected throughout?
Absolutely. Discretion is the foundation of the service. We do not publicise our clients, we limit information to the crew who need it, and we are glad to work within whatever confidentiality arrangements your household or office requires.
